Our modern cabins are equipped with comfortable beds, kitchenettes, and televisions with digital satellite service to make your stay complete relaxation. Not that you'll want to stay inside with our many activities offered out of the ranch.
Day trips out of our ranch, in addition to the fishing include, horseback trail rides, trips to the National Bison Range and the local ghost town of Garnet.
An hour and a half from the ranch lies the National Bison Range, a place where the buffalo still roam free as in the early days of America. Currently 350 to 500 buffalo roam the 18,500-acre range.
A short drive from the ranch is the ghost town of Garnet. Garnet was founded in 1896 as a mining town and reached a population of 1000 in 1897. The buildings, which consisted mainly of bars, included hotels, grocery stores and livery barns. By the 1920's Garnet was a ghost town and remains as the settlers left it, as a window to the past.
Hunters who choose to hunt from our guest ranch will stay in our new rustic cabins. Hunting will be accomplished by 4x4 vehicle, horseback, and a-foot. We will return each night to a warm cabin, hot shower, and hearty meal served in the lodge.
Our tent camp consists of a 16'x24' cook tent where you will be served two very good sit-down meals per day. Lunch most days, will be sandwiches, fruit, and candy bars that are carried with us on the hunt. Sleeping tents are 12'x14' foot wall tents complete with wood stove, cots, foam mattress, and a rug floor for your comfort. We also have a heated shower tent and can accommodate both male and female hunters of all ages and physical condition. Of course, the better condition you are in the better chance you have of filling your tags. Everything but your own personal gear (sleeping bag, rifle, etc.) is provided. We recommend you bring a good rifle of at least a 270 caliber with scope, one that you feel comfortable shooting. Most hunting is accomplished a-foot with transportation to and from the hunting areas by horseback.
